Scarlett Johansson stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night (December 5) and dished about the surprise release of the teaser trailer for her anticipated film, Black Widow!
“Nobody told me it was coming out. I actually woke up and I got a text message from Chris Evans and he was like, ‘the trailer looks great.’ I was also just as excited as everyone else,” the 35-year-old actress told Stephen. “They keep everything from me.”

“It takes place after the Civil War and before the Infinity War,” Scarlett expressed, adding that she doesn’t think she could have played this younger version of her superhero character when the franchise started 10 years ago.
“My journey with Natasha has informed this film. It’s a character who is a fully recognized woman,” Scarlett continued. “It has a complexity to it that is just delicious. We get to do stuff now that is just good.”
