Cate Blanchett Is in Talks to Star in ‘Nightmare Alley’ With Bradley Cooper!
Cate Blanchett might be taking on a new role!
The 50-year-old Ocean’s 8 actress is in talks to star in Guillermo Del Toro‘s Nightmare Alley, Variety reported on Friday (August 2).
The film already stars Bradley Cooper, and is expected to begin shooting at the beginning of 2020.
The movie is based on the William Lindsay Gresham novel of the same name. There is also a 1947 version of Nightmare Alley, which starred Tyrone Power as an ambitious young con-man who teams up with a female psychiatrist who is even more corrupt than he is. At first, they enjoy success fleecing people with their mentalist act, but then she turns the tables on him, out-manipulating the manipulator.
Guillero will direct and co-write the movie.
